Walk This Way

With cooler weather here, my seasonal shift from sock stock piling to sock wearing has begun — visual pull is now joined by a call for comfort and warmth. I love the magical time when hoarding has a pay-off.

My love is enduring and the wealth of options is seemingly endless (good news, please meet bad news — maybe you already know each other). My oversimplified opinion is if you’re going to dip your toes in commerce socks are super secure, as far as business ventures go. Just like my thoughts on pizza parlors it doesn’t seem possible to saturate the market; doesn’t mean you can’t screw it up but the appetite is always there. Here’s a round-up of what I currently have heart eyes for (click the image for source).

What’s a shoe-in: if you love socks like I do, where do you draw the line between so-so and socksational?

  1. style

  2. material

  3. manufacturing

  4. built for purpose

More prying: if I open your sock drawer, what’s the situation?

  1. pair and fold

  2. roll and bundle

  3. free-for-all

  4. lost sock syndrome
